Facebook, facebook, facebook...what will the world be without it?  It was amazing to me to see how many businesses have already taken advantage of facebook.  It makes sense that facebook would be an effective way to market because the vast majority of those people that will be potential customers have a facebook.

Facebook makes marketing relativily easy by allowing you to spend a little money to boost you post or to advertise to a certain group of people in an area.

I have a facebook page for Ice Cloud that we have been using to get the word out about our business in hopes that it will increase our sales.  I think that it has helped a little but not what i would like.  We are in the process of creating a facebook strategy that we hope will help us attract a local loyal following helping us stay aflot as a business.

Instagram

Reading about instagram this week was very enlightening.  The thought of using instagram for business hadnt really crossed my mind until looking at these articles.  It was pretty easy for me to see how facebook would be an important tool to use.  With instagram however i was having a little more difficulty seeing its ability to promote businesses.

Now that i am more educated i can defiantly see how it would be an important tool to use to engage a loyal customer following.  I feel like in the product design industry it would be very effective to allow those you sell and market to see what you do and how their favorite products are made.

For Ice Cloud i think the best way i can use facebook is to get some photos of the products and how they are made.  It would also be a great way to give promo codes and allow customers discounts by following Ice Cloud on instagram.
